2025 Classes

Upcoming classes are pictured below. Click on an image for a more detailed class description and supply list. All classes start promptly at 9 AM. Classes are held in back of the main meeting room. Doors open at 8:30.

You must reserve a spot to attend a class. There is a fee for most classes. To reserve a spot in a class contact Joyce Daly at lilmama128jd@yahoo.com.

Minimum requirements for taking a class include:

Knowledge of the operation of your sewing machine.
Your machine cleaned, threaded, and bobbins wound.
Ability to sew an accurate ¼ seam.
Ability to use a rotary cutter and ruler to cut fabric to an accurate measurement as needed for the class project

April 10, Diane Brescia, Overlay Method of Applique

This method is used when you have many pieces to precisely place on a background. You can then sew the final piece using raw-edge applique. The class will make a rooster with about 30 pieces of fabric. No sewing machine is necessary.

January 16, Sharon Bottini, Sweatshirt Transformation

Our members are capable of many quilting and appliquéing projects. As a result, I will focus on the cutting, fitting, and design of the basic sweatshirt with some assistance with changing it to be “artsy”, aka… not your average sweatshirt

A bed runner is a great way to decorate your bed. Make one for each season! Learn how to make a runner customized to the size of your bed plus the drop.
