Mystery Block of the Month (BOM) 2025
Presented by Lou Veverka

Description: Beginning in February I will be emailing out monthly instructions and/or information for a sampler quilt. Each month will highlight a new or different technique to complete a total of nine 12-inch square blocks. We will cover, for example: paper foundation, curves, quick HST,
easy Flying Geese and more.

Fabric requirements: are approximate, and I have designed this for four fabrics and a background fabric. But you can use any fabrics you have in your stash and make it as scrappy as you like. The first month will give you a rough idea of the amount of fabric you will need.

Instructions: I will email everyone the instructions for each block on the first Wednesday of the month and will include some photos, links (if available) or any other items that may help in the construction process for each block.

Overall Size: The final layout includes 6-inch sashing and will complete a 60-inch square quilt top. The sashing I included uses 2 ½ inch strips along with 9 Patch cornerstones, but you can decide on using any sashing you like, or none at all. Totally up to you. You can place the blocks on point and be as creative as you want. If you don’t like a particular block or technique, replace it with any 12-inch block you want.

Let’s have fun and learn a few things as we go along.

A sign-up sheet will be available at the class table or email louise.veverka@yahoo.com.  I will send you a return email to verify that I have your email correct and then I'll create a group to send out future notices.
