“Holiday Block Challenge”

• On July 18 , 2024, Christmas in July, we will start the second challenge.

• You will pick a quilt block from a “Block A Day” calendar provided by the Guild. Take a picture of the block you choose. To make it fun, choose your birthday. If the block is too challenging or you don’t care for it, choose any other block. Block size, directions for cutting and layout are next to the block picture.

• You will be given a fat eighth piece of holiday fabric that must be used (focus fabric). You can then add complementary fabrics to complete the block. (This way there will be cohesiveness in the blocks for a complete quilt to be made by the winner.)

• Completed blocks are to be turned in by November 1, 2024. That way we can determine if there are enough blocks for more than one winner.

• Blocks may be returned as completed to Coreen Burnett.

• You will receive a red ticket, put your name on the ticket and drop it in the jar.

• You may make more than one block if you have enough of the focus fabric. You will get a second chance to win but can only win once.

• Winner(s) will be chosen at the 2024 Holiday Party.
